Last week the wild flower seeds and six trees arrived at Wallington County Grammar in preparation for the new wild flower section and orchard behind the sports hall to complement the recently finished pond. Along with some of the students and teachers, we planted a number of wild flower mixes and kidney vetch in pots with some compost and water. They will now be kept in the green house till they have grown to a considerable size, when they will then be planted as plugs in the wild flower area when it is dug over. We also unwrapped the trees that had been delivered (2 pear, 2 cherry and 2 apple trees) in preparation for the planting in a couple of weeks.
