The Sutton Ecology Centre team welcomed a new member to todays’ Task Day. Despite the persistant blustery weather the team still managed to tackle a host of jobs around the grounds.
Whilst some of the team unloaded the woodchip collected by colleagues yesterday the rest of the team busied themselves making some much neeed repairs to the refugia in the ‘New’ Minibeast area.
The team were also delighted to see the decking maestro put the final touches to the pond dipping platform refurbishment.
The pond dipping deck replacement is now fully completed. It features 252 metres of composite deck boards, plus over 1,044 screws means that the deck will now be safe for Sutton’s schoolchildren to use for years to come!
